ABOUT MYSELF
My name is Ziqi Wang, and I specialize in filmmaking, with a focus on directing and producing. I have written and directed several short films and worked on several short projects. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Media Art Production at Emerson College, concentrating on film directing.
Directing has become a pivotal part of my life, deeply influencing my creative path and shaping my artistic vision.

FRAGILE
This is a 5-minute narrative film shot at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. The film tells the story of a college girl who suffers irreversible psychological trauma after being sexually assaulted by her dancing teacher. Unable to express her experience, she becomes consumed by suspicion and paranoia. When she receives an anonymous invitation, fear and anxiety overwhelm her, and she desperately tries to uncover the identity of the sender. In the end, her search leads to nothing but emptiness.This film aims to empower individuals to voice their experiences of sexual assault and seek legal assistance.

FORGOTTEN
This is a 5-minute and 20-second narrative film shot in Boston, USA. The story follows a quiet, introverted college student nearing the end of his university life, who struggles to find meaning in his future. Despite having friends from the same country, he fails to connect with his roommate. The bullying from his roommate drives him to increasingly desire an escape and chase his own path of life. The film ends with his inner monologue, reflecting on his journey.

GEAR
This is a ten-minute black-and-white silent narrative film shot at Red Sky Studios in Boston. The film tells the story of "Gearman," who is powered by a winding mechanism and relies on his mother's help to move. However, as the mother ages, she can no longer support Gearman. Following her passing, Gearman loses his power and is forgotten. Until one day, a young woman arrives, revives Gearman, and opens a new chapter in his life.

PAY IT BACK
This is a three-minute narrative short film shot in Boston. It tells the story of a man who is instructed to commit a robbery and accidentally kills someone. He then goes to his accomplice's house seeking help, but upon learning that his money will also be taken, he decides to fight back desperately. The film takes a somewhat artistic perspective on the themes of robbery and murder.

This is a film of approximately 15 minutes, currently in production. It is a fictional narrative short film shot in both Boston, USA, and Hangzhou, China. The story follows two female warriors who, due to opposing beliefs about their "family" legacy, become estranged after their shared master is killed, leading to a complete split and eventual confrontation between the two.

THE QIANFO TEMPLE
This is a documentary about an ancient temple in Hangzhou, China, called "Thousand Buddha Temple." With a history of over 2,000 years, the temple itself may be small, but it carries deep cultural significance. Situated on a mountaintop, the monks must climb up and down daily to transport food while also dedicating themselves to their practice of Buddhism. The film follows the monks' perspective, showcasing the teachings and philosophies of Chinese Buddhism.

THE PARK OF ELDER
This is a fashion promotional film centered on the elderly in parks. In Chinese parks, the majority of visitors are elderly due to the aging population problem in China. These seniors often gather together to engage in various activities. While they may seem aged, they still possess a youthful spirit within. This film aims to raise awareness of the aging population issue and the elderly demographic.
